Concept Project on Solar - Diesel Powered Electric Crematorium

Introduction

India is a country with huge population and also density of population is very high compared to many other nations.

Among highly populous countries, India (population, 1.3 billion) has a tree population of only 35 billion, leading to just 28 trees per person.

Average 5/6 trees are cut per cremation which is equivalent to 750 - 800 kg of carbon emission. Considering close to 1 crore deaths in India per year, we will roughly save about 50-60 million trees per year and earn about 8 million carbon credits if solar -diesel/ gas based cremation method is used.

The Electric Cremator, the ‘green alternative’ is the concept which uses Solar energy coupled with Diesel Generator. The cremator is fully heated electrically; a gas connection is not needed. The power for the Electric is (partly) be generated by, solar panels, which are placed on or around the crematorium. For that reason, the Electric Cremator can be considered an environmentally friendly, energy-efficient “green” cremator.
