Mr.Shrikant Joshi Founder & Director

Updated: Nov 15, 2021

A passionate, zealous personality.

Shrikant Joshi was in the thick of his shipping career when he left it all at the age of 45 to pursue his real passion—social service.

After working for 25 years in the shipping sector at Management level with Shipping Corporation of India, Varun Shipping  and ‘Essar Shipping and Logistics’, Shrikant Joshi brings his professional expertise to pursue social cause with Indivish Welfare Foundation which helps NGOs redefine their goals through sustainable and systemic approach.

In the last 10 years, Joshi came across many other NGOs in Maharashtra and other states that were doing good work at the grassroots level but had not found a way to scale up or replicate their projects in other areas due to lack of resources. Shrikant and his like mined friends could also help with CSR support, both for the corporate (monitoring and evaluation) as well as the NGO (efficient use of funds). These activities were formalised in 2019 with the Indivish Welfare Foundation (IWF). So far, the Indivish Welfare Foundation has helped 40 NGOs across the country in various capacities.

IWF focus in on path breaking projects which it can run itself or get them done

through local NGOs, social entrepreneurs.

Shrikant Joshi strongly believes that “If society has to be developed then NGOs

should learn to become sustainable and self-reliant. Otherwise they run the risk of being a drag on society,”

He strongly believes and act on that,

“If we don’t transform in tune with time, who will? If not now, when?”
