Project Jal Sanjeevani
Reviving water bodies to secure a future for rural Maharashtra. Over the last 6 years, we have desilted 200+ lakes and ponds, creating enormous water storage capacity.

Limiting migration by supporting agriculture.
Rejuvenation Through Desilting
Over time, lakes fill with silt, drastically reducing their ability to hold water. Our “Jal Sanjeevani” initiative focuses on removing this silt to bring water bodies back to life.
The Scale: We have successfully worked in Marathwada, Pune, Beed, and Thane. In 2022-23 alone, desilting just two lakes added an additional storage capacity of 60 lakh liters.
More Than Just Water
This project transforms the entire rural ecosystem. By increasing water availability:
- Agriculture & Livestock: Farmers can sustain their crops and animals year-round.
- Drinking Water: Higher groundwater tables mean wells don’t run dry in summer.
- Stopping Migration: Families can stay in their villages instead of migrating to cities for work.
Transformation at Khed Village
Location: Khed (Murbad-Dist-Thane) | Beneficiaries: 25 Families
We excavated 2,077 units of silt. The result? The lake completely filled with water during the monsoon, securing the village’s water needs.
